Though and searching through amazon reviews indicate that ppl have got them to wrok in HSP/HFP mode out of the box It seems the problem is with the bluetooth adapter and the csr one no longer works. It remains in a2dp and pacmd ls shows available: no against headset_head_unit. It's an Orico BTA 403.Įven opened it up and photographed the chip (csr8510) - but I have no luck trying to get it to Phonesim -p 12345 /usr/share/phonesim/default.xml&ĭbus-send -print-reply -system -dest=org.ofono /phonesim string:"Powered" variant:boolean:"true"Īfter that I could switch the audio profile of my already connected headset to HFP successfully (sometimes I need to restart bluetooth as well).

I basically had to install&start the ofono service, install phonesim and create a fake modem with this config (file etc/ofono/nf): Turns out there is no direct support for HFP (for now). And of course in A2DP mode the mic did not work at all. pacmd listed the headset-input as unavailable as well. I was unable to switch from the A2DP sink to the HFP one.

I've tried using blueman, the gnome manager, pavucontrol. It's not my bluetooth card since I'm able to set other headphones to HSP/HFP profile. They work fine on windows, but the internal mic seems to be inaccessible on Linux. I've been having issues with my bluetooth earphones.
